The coronation regalia - TWO ecliptics intersect on the crown. One ecliptic over the royal orb

Above them, Orion - Deata, the cross.    The royal orb clearly uses astrological symbolism - it depicts a planet with its ECLIPTIC and ecuator.    The Imperial State Crown is similar to the rest of European crowns in its basic design. It has four crosses at the base, alternated with four fleur-de-lis. The crosses are placed at the intersection with the two arches of the crown, which represent two ecliptics. The four crosses are at the base of the two ecliptics. Above the arches (the two ecliptics) is the royal orb (representing a planet), and above it is a white cross—representing Orion.
